Given the high number of accidents related to drunk driving in San Antonio, I thought it would be valuable to discuss this important issue and provide information about substance abuse to help with identifying friends and family who might be at risk.

In March of 2010, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was signed into law. Healthcare Reform is scheduled to take place over the next several years with some pieces taking effect immediately while others being phased in through 2015 and beyond.

SAN ANTONIO, TX - Happy Father’s Day! This month, it is the men’s turn for a health reminder. Unlike women who are “too busy,” most men avoid doctors because they often think “nothing is wrong with me.” While that may be true, problems can be addressed much more easily when found earlier.

SAN ANTONIO, TX- Feliz Dia De Las Madres! In honor of all of the important women in our lives, I would like to encourage women of all ages to participate in National Women’s Health Week, May 9-15. Part of National Women’s Health Week, National Women’s Checkup Day is on May 10. On this day, women are encouraged to schedule an appointment with their healthcare provider for a checkup and screening exams.
